Childhood & Early life
Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu was born to Balkaur Singh and Charanjeet Kaur Sidhu in the village of Moosa in Mansa district of Punjab, India.
Tupac Shakur, a renowned rapper, was a hero to Moose Wala. He was greatly influenced and motivated by Shakur.
Since he was a little boy, Moose Wala has been passionate about music.
When he was only in the sixth grade, he began to listen to, learn about, and follow hip-hop music and received musical training from Harvinder Bittu.
He received his degree in Electrical Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC), Ludhiana in 2016.
After Graduation Sidhu Moose Wala moved to Brampton, Ontario, Canada for pursuing higher education.
During graduation in 2015, Moose Wala requested a song from a well-known Punjabi lyricist, but the author flatly refused.
In order to avoid being rejected by others, Moose Wala subsequently made the decision to create his own lyrics.
In December 2018, Moose Wala aggressively fought for his mother, who triumphed in the hamlet of Moosa’s sarpanch election.
He began his political career on December 3rd by joining the Indian National Congress party.
In 2022, he contested the Punjab Legislative Assembly Election but lost to Vijay Singla, a candidate of the Aam Aadmi Party.

Career
In 2016, Sidhu Moose Wala began his career as a lyricist by penning the words for the Punjabi artist Ninja’s song “License“. The song became popular right away.
Later, he collaborated with Deep Jandu, Elly Mangat, and Karan Aujla.
Sidhu made his debut in 2017 by performing “G Wagon” a Punjabi tune.
In the same year, Sidhu Moose Wala contributed his vocals to the gangster rap song “So High” which was written by him and Byg Byrd.
Both of his songs were huge hits that helped him get widespread recognition.
For the song “So High“, Sidhu Moose Wala won the Best Lyricist prize at the 2017 Brit Asia TV Music Awards.
A number of well-known Punjabi songs, including “Issa Jatt” “Range Rover” “Duniya” “Dark Love” “Tochan” and “It’s All About You” were subsequently published by him.
Sidhu Moose Wala began hosting different live music performances in India and Canada in 2018 not long after his debut song gained attention.
He received a nomination for the ‘Best New Age Sensation‘ category at the PTC Punjabi Music Awards in the same year for his song “Issa Jatt“.
When he launched the song “Dollar” for the Punjabi movie ‘Dakuaan Da Munda‘ in August 2018, Sidhu Moose Wala began writing and performing songs for Punjabi movies.
His pop music album “PBX 1“, which was published under the T-series imprint and debuted on the Canadian Albums Chart in October 2018, was honored with the Best Album Award at the Brit Asia TV Music Awards in 2019.
During the same awards ceremony, his song “Legend” was named ‘Track of the Year‘ and he also took home the prizes for ‘Best International Male Act‘ and ‘Best Lyricist‘.
He released a number of tracks in 2019 on his own record label. These tunes included “Sohne Lagde“, “Homicide“, “Mafia Style“, “Poison“, and “Sidhu’s Anthem“.
Beginning in 2019, his single “Boot Cut” with Punjabi producer Prem Dhillon became a huge smash.
One of his live performances scheduled to take place at the Surrey Music Festival in June 2019 was postponed due to some aggressive behavior.
In 2019, his song “47” debuted in the top 20 on both the Hot 40 singles chart in New Zealand and the UK.
The musical app Spotify named Sidhu Moose Wala, Maninder Buttar, and Karan Aujla as the top 3 Punjabi performers of 2019.
On August 31, 2020, he formally established his own record label ‘5911 Records‘.

His duet with Punjabi artist Amrit Mann, “Bambiha Bole” peaked at number 25 in India in June 2020.
“Bambiha Bole” was 1st in the UK Asian charts, 81st on the Canadian Apple Music chart, and placed in the top 5 on the Global YouTube Rankings.
His song “Game” was initially included on the Canadian Hot 100 by Billboard in September 2020.
He co-wrote the lyrics for this song alongside Indian singer and lyricist Shooter Kahlon, who is mostly known for his work in the Punjabi music scene.
Sidhu Moose Wala published a song named “Panjab: My Motherland” in December 2020.
He lauded the Khalistani separatist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale in the song and used a quote from the Former Chief Editor of Akali Patrika, Bharpur Singh Balbir, a supporter of the Khalistani movement, who was prevalent in the late 1980s.
American Express released an album called “Moosetape” in May 2021. It included 32 tracks.
On September 12, 2021, Sidhu Moose Wala and British rapper Mist gave the Wireless Festival in London their first-ever live musical performance.

Political Career
In the presence of PPCC President Navjot Singh Sidhu and Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Sidhu Moose Wala joined the Indian National Congress on December 3, 2021.
He stood for the Punjab legislature in 2022 from the Mansa district.
Vijay Singla, a candidate for the Aam Aadmi Party who eventually won the Punjab Mansa constituency, defeated him.
During the election campaigns, Sidhu Moose Wala was charged under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code for door-to-door canvassing after the election commission of India’s authorized period had passed.
He published the song “Scapegoat” which was based on his defeat in the Punjab Legislative Assembly elections, not long after he had lost those elections.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) then said that the song performed by Sidhu Moose Wala implied that AAP supporters in Punjab were betrayers.

The unfortunate death
The musician was assassinated in broad daylight while driving his SUV Mahindra Thar to visit his aunt in Barnala.
Fans from all across the world were shocked and outraged by the loss of the diverse pop singer.
On May 30, the Punjab Police disclosed that there may have been gang rivalry at the time of Moosewala’s killing.
Suspects included the names of incarcerated criminal Lawrence Bishnoi and Canadian-based gangster Goldy Brar.
Manpreet Singh, who confessed to giving the assailants logistical support, was the first person the Punjab Police detained; he was taken into custody on May 31.
Bishnoi, who was detained in the Tihar prison, was questioned by police on June 1. He first denied his involvement but eventually admitted that his group killed Moosewala.
On June 2, medical professionals revealed the results of Moosewala’s autopsy with 19 gunshot wounds.
Sandeep Singh, nicknamed Kenkra, and Davinder alias Kala, were apprehended in Haryana’s Fatehabad and Sirsa on June 5 and 6, respectively.
Police announced the arrest of a total of 8 persons connected to the investigation on June 7. Sandeep Singh, Manpreet Singh, Manpreet Bhau, Saraj Mintu, Prabhdeep Sidhu, Monu Dagar, Pawan Bishnoi, and Naseeb were among the names mentioned.
In the murder case, the Punjab Police were given permission on June 14 by the Patiala House Court in Delhi to transport the mobster Lawrence Bishnoi to the neighboring state’s Mansa court.
A second sharpshooter, Santosh Jadhav, was captured on June 18 by the Pune Police. He was found to be in possession of 8 cell phones and a total of 13 illicit firearms.
Priyavrat Fauji (26) and Kashish (24), the two primary shooters responsible for the murder, were apprehended by the Delhi Police on June 20 in Mundra, Gujarat.
On June 23, Bishnoi acknowledged that he was the “mastermind” behind the murder of Moosewala and had been organizing it since August of the previous year.
On June 27, the Supreme Court consented to hear Bishnoi’s appeal of orders made by the Delhi and Mansa courts handing him into the custody of the Punjab Police for questioning about the murder of Sidhu Moosewala.
Two further suspects in the homicide, Ankit and Sachin Biwani, were reportedly detained on July 4 by the Delhi Police’s Special Cell.
Bishnoi’s police detention was terminated on July 11, at which point he was brought before a local Amritsar court.
Senior attorney Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi spoke for the State of Punjab in a request to continue the inquiry against the transit plea remand order given by a Delhi Court for the production of Bishnoi in Punjab’s Mansa court.
